A fresh team-up will be featured in the upcoming Summer MMFF entry, “Love You Long Time” with Carlo Aquino and Eisel Serrano exploring romance beyond place and time.
The story revolves around a screenwriter who loses her mojo following a devastating breakup. After six long years of being together, Ikay (Eisel) rejects her boyfriend’s proposal of marriage. She packs her bags and decides to go to the province. On her way to Baguio, she “meets” a mysterious guy Uly (Carlo) through an old push-to-talk phone. They immediately connect and become friends. The friendship develops into love, but then complications ensue as Uly seems to be from the past.
The movie is set in Baguio City and Atok, Benguet.
“Love You Long Time” is produced by Studio Three Sixty PH and under the direction of JP Habac and written by Gena Tenaja. It will be open in cinemas, along with the other Summer MFFF entries, on April 8.
