It is our utmost honor as part of Yugen Group to create a path for young women to find their happiness, achieve their dreams and shine with their purpose.”

Evlin Abdullah-Khalifa recently caught global attention with her statement during the swimwear competition with words written in Arabic meaning ‘equality.’

“The Miss Universe Bahrain organization hopes to find a woman who is armored with her purpose in life and wishes to use the Miss Universe Bahrain platform to amplify her messages and advocacies” said lan Borromeo, Managing Director of Yugen Group and Miss Universe Bahrain organization.

WHAT IS SOMETHING NEW FOR THE THIRD SEASON?

This season is going to be very special and we have picked a theme for this year: YOUTH EMPOWERMENT.

Since the Miss Universe Bahrain platform is pro-youth, we have aligned our agenda to the city’s Youth City 2023 campaign which is an initiative of Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth and Sports intended for Bahrain’s youth, where the city has become one of the most prominent training projects for young people due to its ability to refine and help shape the talents of young people, as well as giving young people excellent training opportunities to further qualify them and provide them with all the possibilities to unlock their creative energies.

The initiative also aims to raise the level of skills of young individuals, which contributes to the creation of Bahraini cadres qualified to participate effectively in the overall development of the Kingdom. Speaking about the direction of Miss Universe Bahrain 2023, Josh Yuen, National Director, said: “Most of the candidates who join our platform belong to the youth demographics. These are the future leaders, movers, shakers and innovators of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We want to give emphasis to what these ladies are capable of doing in shaping the country to be more progressive, erasing man-made stereotypes and breaking all the glass ceilings in all corners of their lives.”

“We have seen how the reigning Miss Universe Bahrain Evlin Abdulla Khalifa made an impactful statement during the Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans last January 14, 2023. After her exposure and gaining global attention, she has been tapped as regional spokesperson for several brands and recently been invited to speak at the annual Forbes Middle East Women Summit to be held at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she will be in line with the biggest women innovators, leaders and experts from the region such as Her Highness Sheika Noura bint Faisal al Saud, beauty mogul Mona Kattan, American-Somalian model and activist Halima Aden, Syrian Olympic swimming champion Yusra Mardini.”

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR THE THIRD MISS UNIVERSE BAHRAIN REPRESENTATIVE?

We are looking for someone with an authentic heart. Someone who will not get tired of extending her arms to be able to help her community and uplift those who are in need. She is a woman who is sensitive not only to her needs but to the needs of others. We want to find a woman who walks the talk, someone who has an innate responsibility and passion to promote a cause close to the heart. We want a woman that will be a voice of empowerment to Bahrain’s strong youth community.
