Manic Media artist Christi Fider takes pride on her song “Reyna” that serves her love letter to the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Sobrang saya ko kasi noong nilapitan ko yung mga drag queens na kasama ko sa video, sabi nila gamitin natin ito sa performances. Marami akong friends from the LGBTQIA+ community and they support my song. Even the drag accounts they share my song and I’m thankful for that dahil naging part sila ng journey ko,” she said.

Christi recalled that she almost quit the music industry due to a health condition. She is dealing with Adenomyosis, a hormonal imbalance that makes her weight loss efforts ineffective no matter what she tries.

But armed with perseverance and a dream to pursiue, she found inspiration from this struggle and channeled it into creating music that she truly loves. Her personal experiences became the foundation of her musical creations.

Her other songs “Fake,” “Breakthrough,” and “3rd Street” are also available on various streaming music platforms.

Christi was honored by the PMPC at the recent Star Awards for Music as the Best New Female Recording Artist for her song “Teka, Teka, Teka,” written by Joven Tan.
