New Showbiz Darling Gillian Vicencio: A Journey of Talent and Resilience

Gillian Vicencio’s dream came true when she starred in the film, “Eerie” along with Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio She played the role of Erica, a ghost teenager who’s been roaming the campus.

She continued to be part in numerous ABS-CBN projects banking on the acting skills she demonstrated in the film. Her first film was then followed up with another horror, “Hellcome Home” along with Dennis Trillo, Alyssa Muhlach, Raymond Bagatsing and Beauty Gonzalez.

She was part of Star Magic Batch 2019 with Belle Mariano, Anthony Jennings, Jeremiah Lisbo, JC Alcantara and Kyle Echarri as her peers. She then joined Rise Artists Studio that’s currently being managed by Mico del Rosario.

In 2020 she felt anxious of what will happen to her career due to pandemic and the decline in her mother studio’s franchise.

VERY THANKFUL ako/kami” she added.

Playing Alex (the young Angel Locsin) in “FOUR SISTERS BEFORE THE WEDDING” was her biggest break where she shared acting chops with Alexa Ilacad, Charlie Dizon and Belle Mariano. Her versatility as an actress was showcase in the film.

She also starred in the thriller/drama “Kargo” last January 26, 2023 that got featured in Netflix. She also took part in the BL project, “Hello Stranger” where she played Tony Labrusca’s girlfriend and in the hit series “2 Good 2 Be True,” where her chemistry with Yves Flores, known as Red, sparked a fan-favorite pairing named Retox. She expressed gratitude for the unexpected connections and positive impact she has had on viewers at this early stage of her career.

Before 2023 ended, she faced intrigues but chose to focus on work and maintain peace of mind with the support of family and friends. She embraced the reality that speaking or staying silent would elicit opinions, opting to channel her energy towards positive aspects of her career.

This 2024, Gillian is grateful for the opportunities she continues to receive. Her successful theater play “Kumprontasyon” at the PETA Theater in January marked a significant achievement, followed by an endorsement as one of Beautederm’s ambassadors, a renowned brand in the beauty industry.

Her fans are excited with her new teleserye as she joins the Filipino adaptation of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” alongside Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.

She will be featured in an upcoming slasher/massacre film titled “Talahib,” with Kristoff Garcia and Joem Bascon. Directed by Alvin Yapan under FEAST Foundation, the movie aims for international film festivals recognition, given its meticulous craftsmanship.

In an exciting new venture, Gillian joins the roster of Beautéderm’s endorsers. She’s grateful for the opportunity and said, “Sobrang masaya kasi first endorsement ko ito, nakakatuwa na kahit baguhan at hindi pa ako ganoong kakilala ay nasama at pinag katiwalaan ako ni Mommy Rhei kasi nga mga A-listers ang mga artista sa Beautederm.”

At this early stage of her showbiz career, Gillian Vicencio has made an indelible mark already, redefining success and pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an actress. Her fans eagerly await the next chapters in this rising star’s remarkable story, as she continues to prove that success is not only achievable, but also sustainable, in the complicated but exciting world of Philippine showbiz.
