The young actor makes a remarkable comeback on television

The resurgence of Kiko Estrada in TV5’s latest series, Carlo J. Caparas’ Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa, has taken viewers by storm. Not only does his portrayal in the action-drama showcase his acting prowess, but it also highlights his undeniable on-screen charisma. 

The weekday afternoon action-drama series which premiered last April 8 is an adaptation of the 1986 movie with the same title. Alongside a talented ensemble cast including Sarah Lahbati, Sid Lucero, Rhen Escaño, and Gardo Versoza, the show has quickly become a favorite among audiences for its gripping storyline and stellar performances.

But most noticeable of all is Kiko’s transformation for the role. Given his character’s quest for justice, Kiko has undergone immense preparation for the role both physically and mentally. From jiujitsu training to prepare him for his action stunts to building his mental fortitude as a lawyer out for justice in the series, Kiko’s maturity as an actor has shown brightly in the show.

Kiko’s showbiz journey started when he was just a teenager, having been paired with several young actresses at the time. Through the years he has been part of several afternoon and primetime series across both ABS-CBN and GMA, but TV5’s Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa is his biggest break yet in a lead role.

Coming from a long line of actors, from both sides of his parents Gary Estrada and Chesca Diaz, acting is definitely in Kiko’s blood. But it was his dedication to his craft and versatility as an actor that really drove him to become one of the most bankable leading men of this generation.

Kiko is very much thankful for the support fans have been giving him and the show. As he celebrates his birthday this coming June 4, he has plans of giving back as part of his celebration.
