Actor-Turned-Entrepreneur Introduces Unique Dining Experience

Kapuso actor Ken Chan, known for his role as Doc Lyndon in the long-running TV show ‘Abot Kamay na Pangarap,’ is not only a talented actor but also a successful entrepreneur and movie producer. Recently, he celebrated the opening of his newest business venture, the Deer Claus Steakhouse & Restaurant, located at the corner of Jamboree and Limbaga St. in Quezon City.

Known for his versatility and talent on screen, Ken Chan showcases his passion for food and hospitality through his chain of restaurants in Balanga, Bataan, and soon to open in Lipa, Batangas and Siargao.
The grand opening event saw the likes of “Running Man Philippines” star Glaiza De Castro, along with Bianca Umali and her boyfriend, “Black Rider” actor Ruru Madrid, showing their support for Ken’s latest business venture. His loveteam Jillian Ward was also present to grace the occasion.
Throughout the evening, Ken mingled graciously with guests, radiating infectious enthusiasm and genuine hospitality. And we were happy that he shared a moment with the media to open up his decision in venturing to restaurant business.
Speaking about his restaurant, Chan shared that they wanted to rebrand Cafe Claus into a steakhouse to offer a wider variety of menu options. The fusion concept combines Filipino and Western cuisine, with a focus on quality Australian steaks. Chan emphasized the meticulous attention to detail that the chefs put into crafting the perfect flavors and textures for their dishes.
For Chan, the joy of running a restaurant comes from seeing happy customers return for more than just the food. He values creating a welcoming ambiance where patrons feel at home, bringing back friends and family to share in the experience. By maintaining a ‘homey feel’ and festive atmosphere reminiscent of Christmas, Chan aims to make Deer Claus Steakhouse & Restaurant a beloved second home for its customers.
Apart from running a restaurant and an actor, he’s also busy as a producer. He will start filming with Jillian Ward in Taiwan this August under Wide International Film. He will also produce the GL (Girl Love) themed film of Glaiza de Castro and Rhian Ramos.
