The Filipino rock band shifts its lyrical focus to love and happiness in their latest release.

On October 18, 2024, Agsunta, the beloved Filipino alternative rock band and YouTube music sensation, proudly launched their all-original Extended Play (EP) titled “Kung Sino Tamaan” under Cornerstone Music. The release marks a significant milestone for the band, showcasing their dedication to original music after a lengthy six-month to one-year production process.
In an exclusive interview, lead vocalist Jireh Singon expressed the band’s long-standing desire to create an original EP, stating, “Matagal na din talaga namin gustong gumawa ng EP na all originals. Kaya this time, ito na talaga yung panahon, siguro dahil rin nagkaroon kami ng pagkakataon maging part ng Cornerstone.” (We’ve been wanting to make an all-original EP for a while now. So this time around, it felt like the right moment, maybe because we also had the opportunity of becoming a part of Cornerstone.)

The EP features five tracks, each composed with a focus on love and joy rather than the pain often associated with romantic relationships. As Jireh elaborated, “Yung ihahain naming ngayon, this time, more on pagmamahal na siya. Hindi na siya about yung sakit ng pagmamahal. This time, it’s more like ‘Paano nga ba magging masaya sa pagmamahal?’” (Our offering this time is more on love. Not about the pain that comes with love. This time, it’s more like “How do you become happy when it comes to love?”)
