Quadlips Is Here, and They’re Ready to Take Over the World!

Okay, music fans, stop what you’re doing and listen up. The international girl group we’ve all been buzzing about, Quadlips, is officially in the Philippines, and I got the scoop straight from the source! This group is a game-changer, proving that their diverse backgrounds are their ultimate superpower.

I was at the press conference at Seda Vertis North on Friday, and the energy was electric. This four-member sub-unit is the first global group under the legendary AKB48 and its sister groups, with members from Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and our very own Philippines!

Our Girl Cole is Making Us Proud!

Let’s give a huge shoutout to our Pinay pride, Cole! She shared how their different backgrounds make Quadlips so unique. “I feel like Quadlips is very diverse, and since we’re from different backgrounds, it serves as our identity as Quadlips,” she said.

She also got real about the two years of intense training they went through in Thailand. As a Filipino, being away from family was a huge adjustment, but she’s so grateful for the support of her groupmates and their management. It’s clear that this bond they’ve formed is unbreakable.

From Cultural Quirks to Global Hits

With members from four different countries, you can imagine there were some communication challenges. But they see it as a chance to grow. Feni from JKT48 said they’re always learning from each other, from speaking Tagalog to trying to learn Thai. It’s a beautiful mix of cultures!

Hina from Japan shared a hilarious story about a miscommunication during training. She’s used to Japanese culture, where being early is key, so when she showed up on time and no one else was there, she thought she was in trouble! These little moments are what make the group so special and relatable.

Formed in Bangkok, Quadlips debuted in 2024 with their single “Catch Me Kiss Me” and have been dropping hits ever since, including “Over Drive” and their latest bop, “IDGA.” They sing mainly in English, which makes their music accessible to all of us around the globe.

The group’s arrival here marks an amazing partnership between Creat8 Stories and A-Nexus, which aims to help Asian talents break into the global market. And if Quadlips is any indication, they are well on their way.

I’m already obsessed with this group’s vibe. What about you? Let me know which of their songs is your favorite in the comments!
