In the midst of their Benefit Gala in partnership with Operation Smile on September 30, 2025, a magnitude-6.9 earthquake struck the province, with the epicenter traced to Bogo City.
What did the MAPI candidates do? They immediately realigned their scheduled pageant events! They literally traded their gowns and glam for gloves and action. The candidates and organizers teamed up with local partners to pack and distribute relief goods, assist in evacuation centers, and provide comfort to families whose homes were destroyed.
This is what pageantry should be about! From lending hands in relief operations to stepping onto the runway for charity, the MAPI candidates showcased what it means to be women of action—resilient, compassionate, and ready to respond when communities need them most.
