What I love most about this release is Jan’s heartfelt intention behind it. He wasn’t just chasing a trend; he genuinely wanted to create something meaningful.
Jan shared that his biggest goal for “Tanaw” is to have it woven into our life milestones:
“Isa sa goal ko sa song na ‘to na magamit siya sa wedding song ganito ganyan, sa JS prom or what na as long as parang dancing with your partner ganun ‘yung gusto kong marating nung song.”
(Translation: “One of my goals for this song is for it to be used as a wedding song, at JS prom, or whatever, as long as it involves dancing with your partner, that’s what I want the song to achieve.”)
How sweet is that? He wants to be the soundtrack to our first dance, our prom night, and our happiest memories! Inspired by classics from his parents’ generation (like Ebe Dancel and Gary Granada), Jan is proudly bringing that timeless, romantic style back to the modern OPM scene, and his voice is absolutely perfect for it.
