In the fast-paced worlds of high fashion and international cinema, few people manage to transition from the runway to the silver screen with as much grace and grit as Anastasiia Dymchenko. If you haven’t heard her name yet, keep your eyes peeled—this actress, model, and entrepreneur is about to become a very familiar face in the Philippines.
I recently had the chance to dive into her journey, and let me tell you, it’s about as cinematic as the movies she stars in. From her roots in Russia to the luxury of Dubai and the vibrant streets of Manila, Anastasiia is proving that “Mabuhai” is more than just a greeting—it’s a lifestyle.
A Dream That Started in Samara
Long before she was walking fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, and Dubai, Anastasiia was a little girl in Samara, Russia, who simply couldn’t stop performing.
“Becoming an actress was my big dream since I was a little girl,” she recalls. Supported by a family that valued discipline and kindness, she eventually traded the modeling lens for the prestigious halls of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). It was there that she realized she didn’t just want to show the world how she looked—she wanted to show them what she felt.
The “Nuclear Winter” and the UAE Boom
Currently based in the UAE, Anastasiia is at the forefront of the Middle East’s rapidly growing film industry. She recently wrapped a lead role in the international project John Shaw: Nuclear Winter, filmed in Abu Dhabi.
“Dubai gave me confidence and a bigger vision,” she says. But despite her success in the desert, her heart has been pulling her toward a different set of islands.
Why the Philippines? “It Felt Like Family”
Last year, Anastasiia spent a month in the Philippines, visiting Manila, Cebu, and General Santos (where she famously enjoyed the Tuna Festival!). While many international stars come for the beaches, Anastasiia stayed for the people.
“I was afraid I might feel alone, but people welcomed me like family,” she shared. “On set, even when things were stressful, they’d say, ‘Don’t worry—everything will be okay.’ That positivity is unforgettable.”
And yes, she’s already a fan of the food! From Chicken Adobo and Sinigang to fresh General Santos tuna and Piaya, she’s fully embraced the Pinoy palate.
The “Secret” Big Project and Future Ambitions
The big news? Anastasiia isn’t just visiting; she’s building a career here. While she’s keeping the details under wraps for now, she confirmed she is in talks for a major film project in the Philippines.
Her dream? To portray strong, complex, and mysterious women—think psychological thrillers or deep dramas like Angelina Jolie’s Maria. She wants to bridge the gap between Hollywood, the UK, and the Philippines, proving that storytelling knows no borders.

Beyond the Screen: A Fragrance with Fire
When she isn’t in front of the camera, Anastasiia is a “nose” for her own perfume brand in the UAE. Her scents aren’t just smells; they are chapters of her soul—ranging from “purity and elegance” to “magnetic power and fire.” She’s already looking forward to bringing her fragrance line to Filipinas who share her love for self-expression.
The Takeaway
Anastasiia Dymchenko is a reminder that we don’t have to stay in one lane. You can be an engineer of your own brand, a face on a billboard, and a soul on the screen all at once.
Anastasiia, the Philippines is ready for you! 🇵🇭✨
