There’s something incredibly powerful about a “simultaneous” event. The idea that while you’re sitting in a chair in Davao, someone in Dagupan is doing the exact same thing for the exact same reason—to keep a heartbeat going.
This Friday, February 6, GMA Regional TV is continuing a beautiful tradition that started way back in 2008. If you’ve been looking for a way to give back but didn’t know where to start, this is your sign.
Why Your Type Matters
We often forget that blood isn’t something that can be manufactured in a factory. It only comes from us. Whether it’s for a patient undergoing surgery, a mother in labor, or an accident victim, your 15 minutes in that donation chair could literally mean a lifetime for someone else.
But here’s the “secret” benefit: it’s good for you, too! Donating blood helps stimulate the production of new red blood cells and gives you that unbeatable “helper’s high.”
