From TikTok Screens to Broadway Beams: Ken San Jose is Coming Home to the Stage

If you’ve spent any time on TikTok or watching ASAP on Sundays, you know Ken San Jose. Whether he’s hitting a viral dance trend with surgical precision or lighting up the TV screen, Ken has cemented himself as the “It-Boy” of the modern dance scene.

But I’ve got a secret for you: the smooth, pop-locking Ken you see on your phone is just one layer of the story. This March, he’s trading the ring lights for the spotlight as he steps into a role that brings him back to his original heartbeat—musical theater.

The “One” You’ve Been Waiting For: Ken as Mark Anthony

Ken has officially landed the role of Mark Anthony in the Manila run of the legendary Broadway classic, A Chorus Line. Produced by Theatre Group Asia, this isn’t just a “celebrity cameo.” Ken is stepping into the shoes of the youngest, most wide-eyed member of the ensemble.

Mark Anthony is the optimistic first-timer, known for his insane dance skills and unfiltered wit. It’s a role that requires heart, levity, and—let’s be real—the kind of stamina that only a true athlete possesses. To prepare, Ken hasn’t been resting on his TikTok laurels; he’s been back in the studio for rigorous jazz and ballet training to meet the “Triple Threat” standards of Broadway.

A Star-Studded Lineup

This isn’t just any production. The Manila run is being steered by Karla Puno Garcia—the Emmy Award-winning choreographer behind the 76th Tony Awards. Talk about world-class!

Adding some major international “pedigree” to the mix is Filipino-American star Conrad Ricamora. You probably know him as Oliver from How to Get Away with Murder, but he’s also a Tony-nominated Broadway veteran (Here Lies Love, The King and I). Seeing Ken and Conrad share the same stage? That’s a ticket worth every centavo.

Why This is a “Homecoming”

Most people don’t realize that before the viral videos, the theater was Ken’s first home. He grew up in the wings, and we caught a glimpse of that foundation last year when he shared the stage with Sam Concepcion and Gary V in Joseph the Dreamer.

A Chorus Line is the ultimate “dancer’s musical.” It’s about the sweat, the sacrifices, and the soul behind the performance. For Ken, playing Mark Anthony is a statement: he’s not just a dancer; he’s a storyteller.

But Wait, There’s More… 🎤

If you thought Ken was stopping at the theater, think again. While he’s busy hitting his marks on stage, he’s also preparing to drop new music under Diorama. We are officially entering the “Multi-Hyphenate Era” of Ken San Jose, and I am here for it.

Catch Him Live!

You do not want to miss this evolution. A Chorus Line is a limited run, and tickets are going to be the hottest commodity in town this March.
