Go on, open your closet.
Look past the clothes you wore last week. Go deeper, to the back. I bet there’s a dress hanging there that’s more than just fabric and thread. Maybe it’s the one from your first date, a formal gown that made you feel like royalty, or even that old, comfy sweater that holds the faint scent of your mom’s perfume.
These pieces aren’t just clothes. They are keepers of our stories, our joys, our heartbreaks, and our triumphs. And this weekend, Cebu, a beautiful production is set to unfold these very stories live on stage.
A Stage for Every Woman’s Story
Get ready for an evening of pure magic. 2TinCans Philippines, Cebu’s premier theatre communications company, is partnering with the elegant Marco Polo Plaza Cebu to bring you the critically acclaimed play, “Love, Loss, and What I Wore.”
Written by the legendary sisters Nora and Delia Ephron (the minds behind films you love like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail), this play is a hilarious, poignant, and incredibly relatable journey through the lives of women, told one outfit at a time. It’s a collection of stories using clothing—from prom dresses and power suits to the perfect purse—as a time capsule of memory. It explores identity, family, relationships, and self-discovery in a way that feels like you’re sharing secrets with your closest friends.

Mark your calendars, because this is happening for two nights only:
- When: August 16 & 17, 2025 | 8:00 PM
- Where: Grand Ballroom, Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Cebu City
Meet the Powerhouse Women Bringing These Stories to Life
A play this special requires a truly exceptional cast, and this Cebu staging has assembled a stunning ensemble of our city’s most brilliant women. Directed by the talented Charlene Virlouvet, the production features a formidable lineup where theatre veterans share the stage with lawyers, journalists, beauty queens, and social entrepreneurs.
The cast includes Liana San Diego, Mikee Amagsila, Regina Binueza, Shanice Kae Suarez, Shifrah Bouchikhi-Enclona, Vanessa Fe, and 2TinCans’ own Producing Artistic Director, Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson.

They will be joined by a remarkable group of guest artists: language school directress Aleah Alerre Lim; award-winning journalist Andi Pateña-Matheu; multi-awarded social entrepreneur Anya Lim; beauty queen Victoria Leslie Ingram; and a trio of inspiring lawyers—Atty. Elaine Bathan, Atty. Gingging Navarro-Laude, and the beloved public servant and social media personality, Atty. Regal Oliva.
As producer Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson beautifully puts it:
“Every woman has a dress that reminds her of something—her first love, her mother, her divorce, her power. This play gives voice to those hidden hangers in our closets.”
More Than a Play, It’s a Complete Cultural Experience
What makes this event truly unmissable is that it extends beyond the stage.
First, your ticket gives you access to “Stitched,” an intimate and powerful storytelling exhibit. It’s a curated collection of real clothes and accessories, each paired with a personal story from its owner, revealing the deep meaning woven into its fabric. It’s a beautiful, tangible reminder that fashion is memory.

Second, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is rolling out the red carpet for ticket holders. You can turn this theatre night into a mini-luxury weekend! Enjoy special discounted room rates and exclusive dining privileges at all Marco Polo restaurants from August 15 to 18. Why not make it a full, fabulous staycation?
Your Perfect Weekend Plans Are Waiting
