SumY for the Win! Sugar Mercado and HORI7ON’s Jeromy Crowned Ultimate Champions of Stars On The Floor Season 2

The dance floor witnessed its most electrifying showdown yet as the smash-hit original dance competition, Stars On The Floor Season 2, staged its highly anticipated Grand Finale last Sunday, May 31. After 16 weeks of jaw-dropping choreography, grueling weekly challenges, and incredible transformations, the powerhouse duo of Sugar Mercado and HORI7ON’s Jeromy—affectionately known to fans as “SUMY”—triumphed as the season’s Ultimate Dance Star Duo.

Hosted by Asia’s Multimedia Star and Box-Office King Alden Richards, the grand finale was a masterclass in performance and creativity. The evening featured spectacular, high-concept showcases from the five remaining finalist duos, who teamed up with star choreographers to leave everything on the stage. Sharing the grand stage alongside SUMY were incredible pairings: Jasmine Curtis-Smith x 1ST.ONE Joker, Rocco Nacino x KAIA Sophia, Paul Salas x CALISTA Denise, and Chanty x ALAMAT Jao.

The stakes were higher than ever as the panel of judges—collectively known as “The Dance Authority” and led by Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, Rayver Cruz, and Coach Jay Joseph Roncesvalles—evaluated the routines alongside the online votes from “The Dance Universe”. After narrowing the competition down to the top two, Sugar x HORI7ON Jeromy and Chanty x ALAMAT Jao went head-to-head in a breathtaking final dance-off. Ultimately, SUMY’s seamless chemistry and show-stopping routine secured them the crown and the hearts of viewers nationwide.

An emotional Sugar Mercado expressed her immense gratitude upon their victory, thanking her family, her legendary group SexBomb, the crew, and the production team. An equally ecstatic Jeromy dedicated the win to his parents and thanked his fellow HORI7ON members, GMA, and the entire staff for their unwavering support throughout their grueling but rewarding journey. To top off the historic night, the arena erupted into a massive, all-star collaboration featuring Alden, Marian, the judges, the elite dance crew A-Team, and the rest of the season’s duos.

With its groundbreaking second season wrapped up, Stars On The Floor solidifies its status as one of Philippine television’s biggest and most talked-about weekly dance competitions. The show once again succeeded in celebrating the true spirit of passion, artistry, and performance. Congratulations to Sugar and Jeromy on a well-deserved victory!
