The EMCOR Atrium in Bajada came alive with music and cheering crowds as LG Electronics Philippines and EMCOR hosted LG xboom IDOL 2026. This nationwide search spotlights emerging Filipino singers and dancers, giving passionate performers an empowering platform to shine before a live audience. Powered by the room-filling audio of the LG xboom series, the venue transformed into an electric celebration of homegrown artistry.
A talented pool of eight contenders took the spotlight, each delivering dynamic vocals and captivating stage presence. Ultimately, Agdao native Roxanne Jamora captured the top spot with an impressive score of 97.58%, securing her place as the Mindanao Grand Finalist alongside top standouts Merry Grace Simbajon and Cristine Joyce Bunao. Jamora walked away with a winner’s trophy and certificate, marking an unforgettable breakthrough in her musical journey.
Anchoring the competition was the LG xboom Stage 501, a sound system built to elevate live performances, karaoke sessions, and social gatherings. Beyond the pride of victory, regional winners received their own LG xboom units paired with cash prizes. The stakes will rise even higher at the national finals, where champions will compete for cash, LG Smart TVs, and a grand trip for two to Seoul, South Korea.
The enthusiasm extended far beyond the stage as spectators sang along, cheered on their favorites, and won LG xboom Mini units in special raffle giveaways. According to LG Electronics Philippines Media Solutions Product Director Yongwoo Park, the initiative aims to build shared, memorable music experiences while championing rising Filipino stars. That community spirit was unmistakable as Davao’s music lovers united to celebrate regional talent.
While Davao crowned its newest champion, the exciting nationwide search is only getting started. The competition travels to Ayala Malls Manila Bay on October 11, opening doors for the next wave of performers seeking their big break. Aspiring pop icons across the country are invited to step up, make their voices heard, and seize their moment in the spotlight.
